Rhagovelia zela is previously known from Espírito Santo to Santa Catarina, but had not yet been recorded from Minas Gerais (Moreira & Barbosa 2011). Its occurrence on the state is herein reported for the first time .
Examined material. BRAZIL: Minas Gerais – Lima Duarte, stream between Lima Duarte and Ibitipoca, dirt road after bridge before bifurcation Ibitipoca / Mogol , 26.X.2011, (J. F. Barbosa): 2 apterous females ( DZRJ) .
