This species has its known distribution extending from the Caribbean to Argentina, and has some previous records from Minas Gerais ( Nieser & Melo 1997; Melo & Nieser 2004). Its occurrence on Carmo do Rio Claro Municipality is herein reported for the first time.

Examined material. BRAZIL: Minas Gerais – Carmo do Rio Claro , 1948: 1 apterous male ( MNRJ) .
