Positive for glucose fermentation, arginine dihydrolase, esculin hydrolysis, and β-galactosidase in API 20NE, but negative for nitrate reduction, indole production, urease, and gelatin hydrolysis. D-Glucose, L-arabinose, D-mannitol, N -acetyl-glucosamine, D-maltose, potassium gluconate, and malic acid are utilized.
