Emended diagnosis
Head with rostrum variableı unconstricted to weakly constrictedı often elongateı with apicoventral toothı eyes present. Antenna 1ı article 2 of medium length or elongateı ventral setae almost confined distally. Antenna 2ı article 1 not ensiformı article 3 with 2 facial setulesı article 4 with facial stout setae in 2+ rowsı some setae stoutı some setae often slenderı article 5 ordinary. Right mandibleı incisor with 3+ teethı lacinia mobilis flabellateı molar conical and not triturativeı with 3 or fewer basally fused stout setaeı palpar hump small to mediumı apex of palp article 3 oblique. Maxilla 1ı inner plate naked or with setulesı palp 1-articulate. Maxillipedsı inner and outer plates small and poorly armedı palpı apex of article 3 not strongly protuberantı dactylus elongate with apical nail distinct. Gnathopods of medium sizeı dissimiları palms weakly to fully chelate. Gnathopod 1 ı carpus freeı ordinary to elongate. Gnathopod 2 moderately to strongly enlargedı carpus short and often almost cryptic. Pereopods 3 – 4ı carpus without posteroproximal setaeı propodus with armamentsı dactylus occasionally vestigial. Pereopod 5ı basis broadı merus and carpus somewhat narrow. Pereopod 6ı merus and carpus narrow. Epimeral plates 1 – 2 without long facial brushes or posterior setae. Epimeral plate 3 of rounded classificationı weakly setose. Urosomite 3 without dorsal hook. Uropods 1 – 2ı rami not continuously setose to apex. Uropod 1ı peduncle without inter-ramal spike or displaced stout setaı inner ramus with 0 – 1 row of marginal setae. Uropod 3 bearing a second article on outer ramusı with 2 apical setae. Telson short to elongate.
