Etymology l alticola HNS , dweller of high places, alluding to the type locality.
diagnosis a medium-sized, brown member of the flavens HNS group with contrasting yellow legs. Very similar to euryscopa HNS , which occurs at the same locality, and especially in its large, forward-placed eye and curved, backward-directed propodeal spines, but differing in the major in important details of pronotal form and sculpturing, extent of smooth area at and forward of the occiput, and in color.

Measurements (mm) Holotype major: HW 0.84, HL 1.00, SL 0.48, EL 0.14, PW 0.42.
Paratype minor: HW 0.52, HL 0.58, SL 0.50, EL 0.10, PW 0.34.
Color Major and minor: body medium brown, appendages dark yellow.
Range Known only from the type locality.
Biology Unknown.
