CURRENT STATUS. Valid species (Brooks 1988).
DISTRIBUTION. Russia: Crimea, European part; North Africa, Caucasus, Turkey, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, China.
REMARK. The species was described from the females collected in “in campis Orenbur-
gensibus australibus”. There is only one female in IZKP from this locality (Orenburg), which corresponds to the original description of Eversmann. This female is designated here as a lectotype of Anthophora atricilla Eversmann ( Fig. 12 View Figs 1–24 ) .
