Anthophora ruthenica Morawitz, 1870: 305–307 View in CoL , ♀, ♂ (syntypes: ♀♀, ♂♂, Kazan , Orenburg, Sarepta [Volgograd, Russia], probably lost).
CURRENT STATUS. A junior synonym of Anthophora retusa (Linnaeus, 1758) (Brooks
1988: 571).
DISTRIBUTION. Russia: European part, Ural, Siberia, Far East; Europe, North Africa,
Caucasus, Turkey, Central Asia, Mongolia, China.
REMARK. The syntypes of this species have not been found in ZISP and IZKP .
