CURRENT STATUS. A junior synonym of Melecta luctuosa (Scopoli, 1770) (Lieftinck

1980: 227).

DISTRIBUTION. Russia: North Caucasus, Crimea, European part, Ural, Siberia, Far

East; Europe, North Africa, Caucasus, Turkey, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Iran,

Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan.
