CURRENT STATUS. A junior synonym of Tetraloniella salicariae (Lepeletier de SaintFargeau, 1841) (Levchenko et al. 2017a: 322) .

DISTRIBUTION. Russia: North Caucasus, European part, Ural; Europe, North Africa,

Caucasus, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan.

REMARK. The species was described from the males collected in “Bei Kasan”. There is only one male in ZISP from this locality, which corresponds to the original description of

Morawitz. This male is designated here as a lectotype of Tetralonia basalis Morawitz ( Fig. View Figs 1–24

21).

Tkalců designated (but not published) a male from “Derbent” in the collection of ZISP as lectotype. This locality is not mentioned in the original description, so this designation is invalid .
