Material examined. INDONESIA: WESTERN NEW GUINEA: 1 ♂: ‘ NEW GUINEA Mt. Elandora , 7000-8000 ft, 17.X.1965 ’, ‘ R . Hornabrook BM 1970-232 .’ ( BMNH); PAPUA NEW GUINEA: 5 ♂♂, 1 ♀: ‘ NEW GUINEA Border Ranges , Miarosa (1900m, ca. 6°31’10’’S 145°33’00’’E), 16.XI.1965 ’, ‘ R . Hornabrook BM 1970-232 .’ ( BMNH); 1 ♀: ‘ NEW GUINEA Wanitabe (ca. 6°36’50’’S 145°32’40’’E), 8.XI.1965, rotting fruit’, ‘ R . Hornabrook BM 1970-232 .’ ( BMNH) .

Remarks. Paraphloeostiba conjuncta was recently described from north-eastern part of Papua New Guinea. The body length of this species can vary from 1.78 to 2.35 mm (holotype: 1.80 mm). Prior to the present study, the female of P. conjuncta was unknown. The description of the female is presented below.

Female. Posterior margin of abdominal tergite VIII ( Fig. 36 ) and sternite VIII ( Fig. 37 ) rounded. Accessory sclerite wide, gradually narrowed toward rounded apex ( Fig. 38 ). Spermatheca not recognized.

Paraphloeostiba conjuncta is known from several localities in Western New Guinea ( Indonesia) and eastern part of Papua New Guinea. It is here recorded from Western New Guinea ( Indonesia) for the first time.
