Didemnum multispirale Kott, 2001
Didemnum multispirale Kott, 2001: 213 and synonymy.
Distribution. New record: Western Australia (59 n. mls N of Dampier, WAM 187.93). Previously recorded (see Kott, 2001): Western Australia (Exmouth Gulf), Queensland (Great Barrier Reef from Heron I. to Lizard I.), Indonesia. Although Kott (2001) refers to a record from New Caledonia, this is incorrect.
Remarks. The specimen is a thin sheet, which although not in good condition has spicules and cloacal systems as described for the type material.
No known copyright restrictions apply. See Agosti, D., Egloff, W., 2009. Taxonomic information exchange and copyright: the Plazi approach. BMC Research Notes 2009, 2:53 for further explanation.
