Didemnum multispirale Kott, 2001: 213 and synonymy.

Distribution. New record: Western Australia (59 n. mls N of Dampier, WAM 187.93). Previously recorded (see Kott, 2001): Western Australia (Exmouth Gulf), Queensland (Great Barrier Reef from Heron I. to Lizard I.), Indonesia. Although Kott (2001) refers to a record from New Caledonia, this is incorrect.

Remarks. The specimen is a thin sheet, which although not in good condition has spicules and cloacal systems as described for the type material.
