Lissoclinum reginum Kott, 2001
Lissoclinum reginum Kott, 2001: 319 .
Distribution. New record: Western Australia (NNW Port Hedland, WAM 1037.88). Previously recorded (see Kott, 2001): Queensland (Capricorn Group, Swain Reefs, Lizard I.), Cocos Keeling.
The new record is the first from Western Australia although it has been recorded previously from the Indian Ocean.
Description. The newly recorded colony has the usual thin brittle surface test and large horizontal cloacal cavity traversed by the whole length of the zooids, each in its independent sheath of test, leaving the dorsal half of the branchial sac exposed to the common cloacal cavity through the wide sessile atrial aperture. Other aspects of zooids and spicules are as previously described.
