Differential Diagnosis. Rows of elytral punctures distinct. Mesosternal process with five spines. Mentum lighter in color than the venter of the head. Anterolateral corners of the pronotum with pale spot. Somewhat similar to O. grandis but with a generally smaller size, and a longer mesosternal process with only five spines.

Description: Size and Form. Length= 3.4–4.3mm. EL/EW=1.07. Oval, moderately convex. Elytra longer than wide. Color. Dorsum black; head, pronotum, and sides of elytra with mottled, often irregular green iridescence. Elytra with patches of yellowish green or bronze iridescence. Maxillary palpi yellow, with tip of apical segment slightly darkened. Labial palpi yellow. Mentum and stipes brown, slightly paler than venter of head. Anterolateral corners of pronotum with pale white spot. Sternum brown; legs slightly paler. Epipleura and pseudoepipleura yellow. Ventrites brown. Head. Punctation on frons, clypeus, and labrum extremely fine, distance between punctures 2– 3 x width of one puncture. Scape subequal in length to slightly longer than segments 2–5, segment 2 equal in length to segments 3–5, segments 3 and 4 equal in length; segments 6 and 7 subequal in length, apical segment 1.5x length of penultimate segment. Maxillary palpi ¾ length width of labrum; segments 2 and 3 subequal with apical segment 1.5x longer. Labial palpi ¾ length of mentum; apical two segments subequal in length. Labrum usually with 2–3 faint systematic punctures centrally, sometimes bearing short setae. Clypeus with several distinct systematic punctures on anterior margin, larger than surrounding punctation. Frons with irregular row of systematic punctures mesad of each eye. Mentum quadrate, anterior margin slightly convex; with several irregular punctures anteriorly. Thorax. Dorsal punctation of pronotum and elytra extremely fine, nearly obsolete. Posterolateral corners of pronotum rounded. Lateral margin of pronotum with row of sparse setiferous punctures; anterior and posterior series of systematic punctures very distinct, with recumbent setae. Sutural punctuation of elytra forming a moderately dense row, bearing short erect to recumbent setae; rows 1 and 2 distinct, punctures at least 2x the size of general punctation and bearing erect or recumbent setae. Elytral rows 3 and 4 distinct but more diffuse than rows 1 and 2, bearing recumbent setae; interval between row 4 and elytral margin with field of diffuse setiferous punctures. Lateral margin of elytra with sparse row of setiferous punctures. Prosternum carinate medially, with spines anteromedially which are longer than narrowest point of the prosternum. Mesosternal process slightly longer than wide; with five spines. Metasternum with elongateoval glabrous area posteromedially, about as long as wide; about half the total width of metasternum. Procoxae densely pubescent, with numerous long spines, which are longer than mesosternal spines. Protibia with 9–11 spines of dorsal face. Protarsal segments 1–4 small, subequal in length; segment 5 as long as segments 1–4. Hind femora glabrous, with punctures sometimes extruding a very short, think spine. Ventrites sparsely pubescent, with setae mostly erect. Setae longer than longest setae around margin of metasternal glabrous area. Fifth exposed ventrite entire. Aedeagus ( Fig. 16 View FIGURES 16 – 19 ) with outer margins of parameres straight, inner margin of ventral side very sinuate, broader than dorsal side in central third; tips slightly curved inward. Median lobe very narrow, nearly reaching the apex of the parameres; tip bifid. Basal piece moderately narrowed basally, rounded.

Distribution. México, Guatemala, Honduras.
