Type material. Lectotype (examined, here designated). ♂, L1: Co-Type; L2: Palmerston N. Austral. XI. CoType No. 24254 U.S. N.M.; L3: Microconops fasciatus ♂ Krb O. Kröber det 1914. ( DEI). A lectotype is designated to ensure stability of nomenclature because two other species, M. ornatus and M.atricornis are described from the same area. Paralectotypes. Northern Territory: 2♂, 3♀, Palmerston, IX–XII ( DEI); 1♂, 1♀, (in coitus): L1: Co-Type; L2: Palmerston N. Austral. XI. CoType No. 24254 U.S. N.M.; L3: Microconops ♂ ♀ fasciatus Krb O. Kröber 1914 . ( USNM).
