Generitype of Steris Linnaeus (1767) , nom. illeg, non Adans. (1763).

Current name: Hydrolea zeylanica (L.) Vahl View in CoL ( Hydrophyllaceae ).

Note: From its annotations, it is difficult to see how 322.2 (LINN) could be accepted as original material for the name, but as no other original material appears to exist, Davenport’s choice of this material as lectotype is accepted as a neotypification (under Art. 9.8).
