Pycnostachys schweinfurthii Briq., Bot. Jahrb. Syst. 19: 191. 1894, non Coleus schweinfurthii Vatke. Type: Sudan, Equatoria, Dokuto (Dukuttu), Schweinfurth 2770 (holotype: B, destroyed; isotype: K).
