Trichapion nigrum (Herbst, 1797) new to Ontario and Quebec
Note.
This native species was newly recorded in Canada in New Brunswick by Majka et al. (2007a) and feeds on the seeds of Robinia pseudoacacia L. ( Fabaceae ). That the first specimen was collected over 50 years ago, that the host is widespread, and that this tribe has received little taxonomic attention, all suggest that this species may be more widespread than known.
