Type Locality: Indonesia, C Sulawesi, Gunung Tambusisi , 6000 ft (1830 m).

Vernacular Names: Tambusisi Bunomys.

Distribution: Known only from 6000 ft (1830 m) on Gunung Tambusisi , Sulawesi.

Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.

Discussion: Bunomys chrysocomus Group. Morphologically most closely related to B. chrysocomus , with which it is nearly sympatric (both were caught at the same elevation but in different habitats; Musser, 1991).
