Holotype (male): MEXICO, SONORA, San Javier

Diagnosis. The color of T. sonorensis resembles T. glessum sp. n. They may be distinguished by the length and width of the elytra ( Figs. 12, 14 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ) and the proportion of the head area behind the eyes versus the eye length ( Figs. 7, 9 View FIGURES 6 – 10 ).

Description. Size. Length 5.52; width 1.04. Color. Yellow, ventral region of head, terminal portion of elytra and dorsum of abdomen darker; last palpomeres brown. Head. Flat ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6 – 10 ), at eye level wider (1.02) than long (0.90), as wide as pronotum (0.90). Interocular area flat. Distance between pronotum and eyes 1.66 times the length of the eye. Integument chagrined with tiny punctures, each puncture with a yellow, erect seta. Antennal tubercles prominent. Interantennal distance 2.33 times the length of the scape. Antennae as long as last palpal segment (1.36) and longer than head. Eyes reduced, longer (0.24) than wide (0.16); interocular distance 5.42 times the width of the eye. Frons concave, anterior margin concave. Labrum with slightly wavy edge ( Fig. 3 View FIGURES 2 – 4 ). Thorax. Pronotum ( Fig. 7 View FIGURES 6 – 10 ) wider (0.90) than long (0.58), as wide as length of head; anterior margin straight, posterior margin convex, sides sinuate; disc shiny, integument chagrined, setose, with tiny punctures sparsely distributed. Scutellum shiny, closely punctate, posterior margin straight. Elytra ( Fig. 12 View FIGURES 11 – 15 ) narrowed posteriorly, 2.92 times as long as wide; posterior margins rounded, integument setose, rough and coarsely punctate, especially posteriorly. Membranous wings ( Fig. 17 View FIGURES 16 – 20 ) two and a half times as long as wide. Abdomen. Brilliant, integument chagrined with tiny punctures, each with a Variation. The species varies slightly in color and length, from 4.98 to 5.96.
