23. Belenois (Anaphaeis) aurota aurota ( Fabricius, 1793) View in CoL
WL: 27mm. The species ranges throughout Africa, Madagascar and the Oriental Region. Despite occurring primarily in savanna, it can also be found in disturbed forest. The caterpillars feed on Capparaceae ( Maerua , Capparis and Boscia ).
