Body length 28.5–53.9 mm (♂); 25.9 mm (♀).

Description. Major male. Head and pronotum brownish, covered with a thick vestiture of long, pale yellowish setae; elytra covered with vestiture of short, yellowish-amber setae; brownish, with metallic luster, darker than head and pronotum, discal setae weakly developed or absent; head, including mandibles, 1.4–1.5× width of pronotum and elytra. Head brownish, surface covered with a thin vestiture of long, pale yellowish setae; mandible smooth, with yellowish, short setae along basal 1/5; mandibles strongly incurved along midlength and along apical 1/3; major inner mandibular tooth located 1/3 distance from apex, triangular, protruding forward and inflated on either side,>5 small, inner mandibular teeth located below major inner mandibular tooth; 2–3 sharp small inner mandibular teeth located between major tooth and mandibular apices; apical mandibular forks strongly developed, widely open from front, upper branch of apical fork subequal to lower apical branch fork; lateral ridges of head well rounded, less convex at posterolateral head; clypeolabrum weakly developed, flatten, single-pointed at middle. Pronotum brownish with slight metallic luster; straight along apex and basal 1/3, weakly rounded at middle; 0.6× width of head and mandibles; prothoracic tibiae black with subtle reddish stripes, bearing five weakly developed spines from apex to midlength; mesothoracic tibiae black, bearing two spines at midlength; metathoracic tibiae bright yellowish with black apices, each bearing single spine at basal 1/3. Elytra shinning, metallic brownish, covered with a thin vestiture of short, yellowish-amber setae; oval, widest along apical 1/3, strongly narrow along basal 1/3. Median male as major male except: head with major inner mandibular tooth single-pointed, weakly triangular pointing forward;>4 small inner mandibular teeth located below major tooth, 1–2 sharp small inner mandibular teeth located between major tooth and mandibular apices. Minor male as major and median males except: head with major inner mandibular tooth weakly developed to absent, if present, single-pointed and not triangular; <4 small inner mandibular teeth located within mandibular margins. Genitalia. Ventral plate of 9th abdominal segment abruptly widened behind cephalic base and constricted before caudal expansion; basal piece usually well defined, 0.5× length of entire aedeagus; apical flagellum enlarged, flagellum 1.3× length of aedeagus; aedeagus slender, incurved at basal 1/3, triangular distally.

Female. Body dark brownish, covered with a thick vestiture of long yellowish-amber setae; usually smaller than major and median males, subequal in length or larger than minor males. Head brownish; surface punctate; mandibles incurved at basal 1/3 and apical 1/3; mandibular tooth weakly developed, asymmetrical; right mandibular tooth triangular, left mandibular tooth smooth; preocular and postocular margins weakly developed, not forming acute angle or protruding apically; clypeolabrum weakly developed, triangular, single-pointed at middle. Pronotum brownish, with metallic luster; obscurely punctate; prothoracic tibiae reddish, punctate, bearing four spines from apex to midlength; distal two spines strongly developed; prothoracic tibiae 1.2–1.4× width of mesothoracic and metathoracic tibiae; mesothoracic tibiae reddish or yellowish-amber, bearing two spines at midlength; metathoracic tibiae reddish or yellowish-amber, bearing two significant spines along basal 1/3. Elytra with apices black or brownish, elytral disc with metallic luster; oval, widest at apical 1/3, strongly narrow at basal 1/3.
