Cryptotis colombiana Woodman and Timm 1993 , Fieldiana Zool., n. s., 74: 24.

Type Locality: Colombia, Central Cordillera, Antioquia Dept., Río Negrito; 15 km E of Sonsón, 1750 m.

Vernacular Names: Colombian Small-eared Shrew.

Distribution: Colombia, Central Cordillera.

Discussion: C. nigrescens group ( Woodman and Timm, 1993). Woodman (1996) reported a second specimen from the Cordillera Oriental that he later described as a new species related to C. colombiana ( Woodman, 2003) ; see under C. brachyonyx .
