Diagnosis. Instantly recognizable by the combination of wide yellow basal band on elytra and smooth intervals II, IV and VI ( Fig. 2 View FIGURES 1 – 11 ). Aedeagus as in Fig. 14.

Comments. Loc. typ. Cartagena and Almería. Species known from Spain only, but I saw 3 specimens with label “col. Gobert, Marruecos” (MNCN). Two of them are on the same pin with S. soror Rambur, 1837 . Perhaps this is just an error with labels.
