Neotype (Rommel in Mitt. Bot. Staatssamml. München 13: 596. 1977): Herb. Linn. No. 1023.1 ( LINN) .

Current name: Amellus asteroides (L.) Druce ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Rommel (in Mitt. Bot. Staatssamml. München 13: 596. 1977) indicated 1023.1 (LINN) as the lectotype but this collection is associated not with this name, but with Amellus lychnites L. (1759). However, in the absence of any original material for V. asteroides , Rommel’s statement is treated as a correctable error, with 1023.1 (LINN) accepted as a neotype (rather than a lectotype) under Art. 9.8.
