scientific name

Hieracium venosum L.
status

Hieracium venosum Linnaeus , Species Plantarum 2: 800. 1753.

"Habitat in Virginia." RCN: 5851.

Lectotype (Reveal & al. in Huntia 7: 225. 1987): Clayton 386 (BM-000051199).

Current name: Hieracium venosum L. ( Asteraceae ).

Note: Although Reveal & al. wrongly attributed the choice of lectotype to Fernald (in Rhodora 45: 323-325. 1943), they clearly treat Clayton 386 (BM) as the lectotype and the choice is attributable to them.
