Phragmocapnias Theiss. & Syd. View in CoL View at ENA

Phragmocapnias View in CoL View at ENA was previously linked with Conidiocarpus View in CoL View at ENA and accepted as the sexual morph of Conidiocarpus View in CoL View at ENA . According to the nomenclatural rule of one name for one fungus, Bose et al. (2014) concluded that Conidiocarpus View in CoL View at ENA should be treated as a synonym of Phragmocapnias View in CoL View at ENA for these interconnected genera. Apart from Ph. philippinensis View in CoL , all species within Phragmocapnias View in CoL View at ENA were transferred to Conidiocarpus View in CoL View at ENA by Bose et al. (2014). Following Bose et al. (2014), Hongsanan et al. (2015) synonymized Ph. philippinensis View in CoL under Co. philippinensis View in CoL . Abdollahzadeh et al. (2020) revealed that the type species of Conidiocarpus View in CoL View at ENA and Phragmocapnias View in CoL View at ENA formed as two distinct clades, representing two separate genera. While, two strains of Conidiocarpus View in CoL View at ENA ( Co. betle View in CoL and Co. plumeriae View in CoL ) clustered with Phragmocapnias View in CoL View at ENA clade ( Abdollahzadeh et al. 2020, this study). Consequently, Ph. betle View in CoL is resurrected, and Co. plumeriae View in CoL was transferred to Phragmocapnias ( Abdollahzadeh et al. 2020) View in CoL . In this study, we provide a new strain for Ph. betle View in CoL , introducing the new host record from Rosa × damascena.
