Coloration and structure ( Figs. 2 View FIGURE 2 D, I, N, 3G) as in S. coniceus , but facial markings slightly different, with three anterior marginal lines ( Fig. 2 View FIGURE 2 N).
Male genitalia. Pygofer in lateral view longer than broad, tapering posteriorly, posterior margin conically rounded, with several two tufts of long macrosetae lined subapically and scatter short macrosetae from subapical to middle ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 A, B). Subgenital plate triangular with blunt apex, bearing 2-3 long macrosetae near base and fine setae along lateral margin ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 C). Style with broad anterior part and well developed preapical lobe, apical process slightly curved laterally, tapering to acute apex ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 C, D). Connective with arms divergent, shorter than stem; processes tapered and pointed apically, close together in basal half and then slightly divergent ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 C, E). Aedeagus with well developed dorsal apodeme, shaft gradually tapered apically and truncated at apex in lateral view, subapical process short, recurved and directed basally in lateral aspect ( Fig. 12 View FIGURE 12 F, G).
Measurements. Male 4.1mm long, 1mm wide across eyes.
Material examined. Holotype ♂, Guangxi, Napo, Nonghua , 15.iv.1981, Huang Fusheng ( IZCAS).
Etymology: The species is named after Prof. Feng Yuan of Northwest A&F University in recognition of his contributions to insect taxonomy.
Remarks. This new species resembles S. bifidus Viraktamath & Mohan in external shape and male genitalia, but differs in the shape of the connective processes.
