New records. Four individuals flying above the wetlands of the ESNR (04°56′52″N, 073°57′47″W) on 05 January 2018. One individual perching on electrical wires and five individuals flying above the wetlands in the ESNR (04°56′45″N, 073°57′24″W). We recorded this species systematically for the first time on 17 January 2018, and since then we have observed it between September and December and April and May.
Identification. Large broad-winged swallow; greybrown back with blackish front and helms, white ventral region with grey-brown broadband and a longitudinal line of fusca spots; white and long infracaudal covers contrast with the dark grey tail; immature grayer and without a marked longitudinal line.
Remarks. We did not record any reproductive events. This species is an austral migratory bird.
Distribution. Panama to Argentina.
