Chorology.
Stenus barbarae was described from the Talish Mountains in Gilan, Iran ( Hromadka 1979: 183). The new record close to the type locality is the first after the description. As far as known presently, Stenus barbarae is endemic to some north-facing valleys in the southern Talish at about 37°N, 49°E (Fig. 20 View Figures 19–24 ).
