Diagnosis.

A genus of Asian frogs of the subfamily Occidozyginae Fei, Ye, and Huang, 1990 of the family Dicroglossidae Anderson, 1871, that differs from all other genera of its subfamily by having the following combination of characters: (1); tongue fleshy, swollen; (2) vomerine teeth absent; (3) tips of fingers and toes slightly swollen; (4) tympanum moderately distinct; (5) skin covered by extensive mucous, feels slimy to touch in life frogs; (6) throat lining uniformly grey; (7) life style semiaquatic; (8) amplexus inguinal.
