Recorded from Scotland by Walker (1835). Addition to Vlug’s (1985) description: Occiput dull reticulate-coriaceous, sculpture hardly transverse; female A9 very slightly elongate; scutellum faintly reticulate-coriaceous; T2 striated in basal foveae to 0.4 of its length. This species is similar to P. splendidula Ruthe , but notauli are meeting in a point and are distinct to two-thirds of length.
