Recorded from near London and from Ireland by Walker (1835). Platygaster orus is very similar to P. quadriceps Buhl, 2006 , but occiput has less transverse sculpture in P. orus than in P. quadriceps , and T5 on lectotype P. orus has only 14 punctures (less than half that are in P. quadriceps ) with short setae, not overreaching hind margin of T5.
