Recorded from near London by Walker (1835). Only known from the male lectotype. This species differs from the somewhat similar L. vlugi in having frons more strongly sculptured, in antennal structure (A2 1.7 times as long as A3, A4 equal to A2–A3 combined, A5 0.6 times as long as A4, A9 1.7 times as long as wide, A10 1.5 times as long as A9), in having notauli distinct in posterior third, and in having sides of pronotum and mesopleuron more sculptured than in L. vlugi Buhl.
