Etymology. The specific epithet is derived from the Greek words “ pente ” (= five) and "akis" (= barb, point), in reference to the shape of median apophysis on the male pedipalpal bulb. Term in apposition.

Diagnosis. Leptonetela pentakis sp. nov. is similar to L. grandispina sp. nov., but differs from the latter by the five furcated median apophysis on pedipalpal bulb, the equidistant arrangement of tibial spurs I–III, the widely spaced spermathecae and the presence of modified short hairs on atrium anteriorly.

Description. Holotype male. Total length 1.78. Prosoma 0.82 long, 0.77 wide. Sternum 0.57 long, 0.55 wide. Opisthosoma 0.99 long, 0.89 wide. Dorsal shield of prosoma brown anteriorly and yellow posteriorly, two setae on anterolateral area of PME. Cervical groove and radial furrows indistinct, dimmish yellow. Thoracic median groove darkish brown, depressed, with a stiff seta anteriorly. Clypeus 0.18 high, slightly sloped anteriorly. Six eyes, white, ovoid. ALE and PLE with black bases, lack in PME. Eye sizes: ALE 0.05, PLE 0.05, PME 0.03; ALE-ALE 0.01, ALE-PME 0.12, PLE-PLE 0.10, PLE-PME 0.05; AER 0.12, PER 0.13. Major axes of PLE convergent posteriorly. PME contiguous, median axes parallel. Chelicerae yellow, longer than endites in length, fang furrow with 8 promarginal and 5 retromarginal teeth. Endites, labium, sternum and legs yellow. Labium rebordered. Leg measurements: I 4.98 (1.45, 0.25, 1.56, 1.13, 0.59); II 4.13 (1.20, 0.26, 1.14, 0.92, 0.61); III 3.48 (0.97, 0.24, 0.92, 0.83, 0.52); IV 4.70 (1.35, 0.24, 1.42, 1.08, 0.61). Leg formula: I- IV-II-III. A cluster of prolateral setae on femur I mesially. 2–3 long setae on femora II–IV respectively. A dorsal seta at each patella distally. All tibiae with 3 trichobothria, 3–5 long setae. Only a short tricobothrium and a long seta at each metatarsus. Opisthosoma pale, long ovoid, covered with yellow hairs, lacking pigmentation.

Pedipalpal femur without large spines. One distal seta patella dorsally. Three dorsal trichobothria, 3 mesial and 2 distal spurs modified pedipalpal tibia. The first tibial spur I largest and longest, no bifurcated. Pedipalpal tarsus crinkled and contracted medially, modified by 3 distal and a ventral setae, earlobe-shaped process absent. Pedipalpal bulb ovoid and smooth. Embolus sharply triangular in prolateral view. Conductor large, rugose. Median apophysis developed, divided into five spicula, sclerotized distinctly.

Female. Similar to male in general features and body size, but legs shorter. Total length 1.69. Prosoma 0.75 long, 0.69 wide. Sternum 0.55 long, 0.53 wide. Opisthosoma 0.95 long, 0.74 wide. Clypeus 0.17 high. Six eyes, white. Eye sizes: ALE 0.04, PLE 0.04, PME 0.03; ALE-PME 0.07, PLE-PLE 0.10, PLE-PME 0.04; AER 0.06, PER 0.11. Leg measurements: I 4.53 (1.28, 0.23, 1.32, 1.02, 0.68); II 3.58 (1.02, 0.23, 1.00, 0.79, 0.54); III 3.06 (0.86, 0.22, 0.77, 0.72, 0.49); IV 4.24 (1.20, 0.22, 1.26, 0.97, 0.59). The chaetotaxy and trichobothria of each leg same as in male. Opisthosoma pale brown, ovoid, covered with brown hairs, with pigmentation laterally and posteriorly denser than dorsally.

Genital area covered with densely plumose long hairs. Internal genitalia consisting of paired spermathecae and sperm ducts, kinkled, widely spaced, sclerotized distally stronger than proximally. The atrium broad, short hairs modified at margin of atrium anteriorly and at sperm ducts proximally.

Distribution. Known only from type locality.
