Etymology Named after the type locality.
diagnosis A member of the " jujuyensis HNS complex" of the larger fallax HNS group, comprising araneoides HNS , cuevasi HNS , durionei HNS , jujuyensis HNS , kugleri HNS , leonina HNS , leptina HNS , lucretii HNS , lupus HNS , paraensis HNS , punctithorax HNS , tijucana HNS , wallacei HNS , and wolfringi HNS . P. tijucana HNS is distinguished as follows.
Major: scape just attains occipital border; most of occiput vertex, and frontal lobes smooth and shiny; a small cluster of short longitudinal carinulae are gathered around midline at occiput; rugoreticulum on each side of head extends from eye to antennal fossa, anteriorly halfway between eye and anterior border of head, and posteriorly to halfway between eye and occipital border; mesopleuron and most of propodeum carinulate; propodeal spines equilaterally triangular.
Minor: propodeal spines reduced to denticle; occiput constricted to neck with broad nuchal collar.
Measurements (mm) Holotype major: HW 1.48, HL 1.54, SL 1.08, EL 0.22, PW 0.76.
Paratype minor: HW 0.58, HL 0.74, SL 1.14, EL 0.16, PW 0.44.
Color Major: concolorous rich reddish brown.
Minor: plain light brown except for head, which has a darker, reddish shade.
range Known only from the type locality.
