Espèce répandue sur toute l'Europe, en Asie et dans ses îles.
Des individus qui nous ont été envoyés de Java par notre ancien collaborateur M. L. Zehntner offrent les caractères suivants:
Minutus, ater, nitidus. Antennse nigrse. Palpi labiales testacei. Caput infra oculos et pronoti margines latérales lutei. Elytra brevia, lanceolata, acutissima, luteo-maculata. Aise ad dimidium abdomen attingentia. Femora mtermedia maculis 2 luteis. Femora postica ante médium lineis 4 luteis superpositis. Tarsi brunnei. Tibise postiche fusci, lamellis et calcaribus luteis; his longissimis, metatarso nullo (tuberculiformi). Abdomen fusconigrum, segmentis subtus utrinque macula lutea. Appendices anales fusco-testacei, graciles. Penultimum segmentum ventrale trapezinum, margine postico lamellari, integro. Lamina infra- genitalis rotundata, coricacea, fusca, subcarinata, apice sulcata (quando deplicata, incisa). Long. 6,7 mm.
Var. Pedes maculis flavis nullis, abdominis segmenta subtus luteo-limbata.
