Type species Pompilus femoratus Fabricius, 1804 View in CoL , by monotypy.
Remarks. This is a diverse and worldwide-distributed genus of Ageniellini . Dreisbach (1963) listed 19 Neotropical species of Auplopus found in Mexico, Central America, and the Caribbean. We recorded only two species of Auplopus for the Dominican Republic, one of which is herein first described.
