Distribution in Iran. Fars (Ostovan & Arefnia 2011), Guilan (Cox & Cox 1995; Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000), Khuzestan (Linnavuori 2009), Iran (no locality cited) (Hoberlandt 1961, as M. wui kashmirica ). General distribution. Near East, Central Asia, Yemen, Southern Asia as far as Vietnam (Jansson 1995; Fent et al. 2011).
Comments. Among Phragmites sp. ( Poaceae ) (Linnavuori 2009).

Material examined. East Azarbaijan province: no locality cited, 13, unknown date. New record for Iran. General distribution. Central Asia ( Azerbaijan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan) (Jansson 1995).

Distribution in Iran. Kerman (Seidenstücker 1958, as M. wui ).
General distribution. Asian Turkey, Israel, Iran (Jansson 1995; Fent et al. 2011). Comments. Micronecta wui wui Lundblad, 1933 is known only from China, Mongolia, Far East Russia, so we refer Seidenstücker’s record to M. wui alkani .
