Leptopus lanosus Dufour, 1834: 354 (as new species); Erianotus mariae Oshanin, 1891: 40 (nomen nudum); Erianotus bergi Jakovlev, 1906: 201 ; Erianotus inumbratus Kiritshenko, 1952: 192 .

Distribution in Iran. Alborz, East Azarbaijan, Fars, Hormozgan, Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad (Hoberlandt 1983), Mazandaran (Hoberlandt 1983; Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000), Iran (no locality cited) (Péricart 1990; Linnavuori et al. 2011).

General distribution. Mediterranean extending to Central Asia (Lindskog 1995; Linnavuori et al. 2011).
