Distribution in Iran. East Azarbaijan (Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, b), Fars (Hoberlandt 1955; Wagner 1961; Ostovan & Arefnia 2011; Linnavuori 2009), Golestan (Heiss 2002), Hormozgan (Lindberg 1941; Linnavuori 2004), Kermanshah (Tamanini 1952; Sakenin et al. 2010, Samin et al. 2011 as V. affinis filippii ), Khorasan (Linnavuori & Modarres Awal 1998), Semnan (Horváth 1896; Linnavuori 2009), Sistan & Baluchestan (Hoberlandt 1955), Tehran (Hoberlandt 1955; Kiritshenko 1966), Zanjan (Askari et al. 2009), widely distributed in Iran (Linnavuori & Hosseini 2000).
General distribution. Irano-Turanian.
Comments. Velia (Plesiovelia) affinis filippii Tamanini, 1947 is known in the Adriatic Region ( Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, former Yugoslavia) and adjacent areas like Armenia and Turkey. Velia (Plesiovelia) affinis marussii Tamanini, 1957 is restricted to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and NW Indian (Andersen 1995).

Distribution in Iran. Fars (Ostovan & Arefnia 2011), Isfahan (Wagner 1961), Khorasan (Modarres Awal 2008 as V. mancinii mancinii Tamanini, 1947 ).
General distribution. Asian Turkey, Iran (Andersen 1995; Fent et al. 2011).
Comments. The distribution of Velia mancinii mancinii Tamanini, 1947 is restricted to Adriatic Region ( Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, former Yugoslavia) and European Russia; therefore the identification by Modarres Awal (2008) is probably a misidentification.
