Material examined— Hidalgo: Tlanchinol, Cryptotis mexicana (Coues) , 8.V.1997, 1 female; 8.II.1997, 2 females. 10.III.1997, 1 female; P. f u r v u s. 3.IX.1997, 2 female; 4.VI.1997, 1 female; Oryzomys melanotis rostratus (= Oryzomys rostratus ) Merriam, 29.XI.1997, B. Salceda, 1 female; Tenango de Doria, 5 males, 2 females.

Remarks—Morrone et al. (2000) described this species from material collected in the state of Nuevo Leon on Microtus sp. and P. difficilis . This represents the second record for this species in the country.
