Basionym : Lipocarpha prieuriana Steud., Syn. Pl. Glumac. 2: 130 (Steudel 1855). Type:— SENEGAL. Leprieur s.n. (holotype P!, isotypes G00190011!, L0042653!) .

Synonyms: — Lipocarpha schweinfurthiana Boeckeler (1879: 567) . Type :— SUDAN. 1869, Schweinfurth 197, ser. 3 (holotype B, isotype K000815778!).

Description:— Goetghebeur & Van den Borre (1989: 60).
