Artbeschreibung: Blätter beidseits kahl, einfach oder doppelt gezähnt. Stacheln kräftig, an blühenden Zweigen hakig gekrümmt. Blattstiele meist ohne Haare, aber mit Stieldrüsen und oft auch mit sichelförmigen Stacheln. Blütenstiele kahl, etwas verlängert. Auch Griffel oft etwas verlängert, schwächer behaart als bei R. dumalis . Blüten hell- bis tiefrosa. Kelchblätter nach dem Blühen zurückgebogen, später sich teilweise erhebend, bis zur Fruchtreife bleibend.
