Mémoires de l’Institut scientifique de Madagascar, sér. B, 4: 122 (1952). — Lectotype (here designated): Humbert 12347 ( P! [ P00573555 ]; iso-, MO!, P! [ P00573556 ], TEF!).
Humbert 12347 is here chosen as the lectotype of Diospyros humbertiana H.Perrier instead of the other syntypes ( Humbert 19934, Poisson 286) because it possesses mature fruit and has duplicates in several herbaria.
