Annales du Musée colonial de Marseille 16: 315 (1907) . — Lectotype (here designated): Perrier 858bis (P! [ P00573737 ]).
No collections were cited by Jumelle in the protologue of Diospyros perrieri , and thus the plate accompanying the text serves as an iconotype. However, among the material available to Jumelle, two Perrier collections (858 and 858bis) could equally have served as the model for the plate; the latter is here chosen as the lectotype of Diospyros perrieri Jumelle because it is more complete material.
