Mémoires de l’Institut scientifique de Madagascar, sér. B, 4: 153 (1952). — Lectotype (here designated): Perrier 18751 ( P! [ P00541730 ]; iso-, P! [ P00541731 ]).
Perrier 18751 is here chosen as the lectotype of Diospyros ankifiensis H.Perrier instead of the other syntype (Boivin s.n.) because it possesses fruit.
