The morphotype assigned here to Myrica cf. lignitum (UNGER) SAPORTA (Pl. 3, Fig. 11) represents a simple, petiolate elliptic leaf with entire margin and regular eucaptodromous secondaries. The genetic affinity is somewhat doubtful, not supported by epidermal traits characteristic of this species, namely biseriate stalks of glandular trichomes ( Kovar 1982).
