Type: “Hab. in Syriae pascuis ad Agraba et Gebel Belas in viâ inter Hama et Palmyram (Blanche!)”.

Lectotypus (designated here): SYRIA: “De Hama à Palmyre. Désert de Syrie. (Puits de Fadel). Dans le Djebel Belas ”, 19. V .1857, Blanche 2878 ( G-BOIS [ G00330347 ]; isolecto-: JE [ JE00002465 ]) . Syntypus: SYRIA: “ De Hama à Palmyre. Désert de Syrie. Au paturage d’Agraba ”, 18. V .1857, Blanche 2971 ( G-BOIS [ G00330345 ]) .

Note. – Boissier in Flora Orientalis listed two collections between Hama and Palmyra but one was near Agraba and the other at Gebel Belas.
