Diagnosis. The male is unknown. The female is similar to those of P. pondoensis and P. disposita . P. pastinella differs from P. pondoensis in the larger body length and from P. disposita in the lack of an oily bluish shine on the scutum. P. pearstonensis , P. chubbi and P. cinctifera differ from P. pastinella in having reddish metasomal terga.

Description

Female. Bl = 5,1–5,3mm. General habitus ( Fig. 75e ). Head. L = 1,5–1,6mm; W = 1,8–1,9mm. Head wider than long ( Fig. 75a ). Integument black except mandibles, malar area and clypeus sometimes partly reddish-brown. Face predominantly shiny and with loose, greyish, erect hairs. Mandibles bidentate. Clypeus and supraclypeal area convex in profile. Clypeus strongly and densely punctate; clypeoantennal distance 0,3mm. Supraclypeal area with a few well separated punctures; surface completely reticulate. Paraocular area strongly and densely punctate; surface extensively and strongly sculptured. Antennae brownish. Mesosoma. L = 1,0– 1,1mm; W (ITS) = 1,2–1,3mm. Integument black. Scutum slightly dull; surface completely reticulate; disc finely and sparsely punctate (i = 2,0–2,5d) ( Fig. 75b ). Scutellum as illustrated in Fig. 75c . Scutum, scutellum, metanotum, mesepisternum and propodeum with mostly greyish, erect hairs. Basal area of propodeum as illustrated in Fig. 75c ; propodeum shiny; surface finely sculptured. Marginal region of posterior truncation shiny; reticulate and partly wrinkled. Wings. Slightly fuscouse. Legs. Integument brownish. Vestiture greyish to dark greyish. Ts strongly serrate, with 5 to 6, oblique projections ( Fig. 75f ). Bp as illustrated ( Fig. 75g ). Metasoma. L = 2,7–2,8mm; W = 1,7–1,9mm. Integument brownish-black except the margins of T pallid brownish to yellowish; margins partly translucent. No apical hair bands on metasomal terga. Prepygidial fimbria brownish. Metasomal terga as illustrated in Fig. 75d .
