Anocha moraviensis View in CoL sp. nov.
Fig. 4A–B View FIGURE 4
Diagnosis. The eye-bridge is complete; the tines of the long M1+2-fork run parallel to each other. Male genitalic structures characteristic of this species ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ) are the short, almost straight gonostyli with a steep front and a narrow apical tooth; the ejaculatory apodeme not widened apically (but with distinct accessory gland ducts); and the gonocoxites with a straight rather than convex ventrobasal edge. Females are unknown.
Differential diagnosis. Anocha grytsjoenensis , another species with long M1+2-fork, differs in having an incomplete eye-bridge; longer, slightly curved gonostyli; and a spoon-shaped ejaculatory apodeme (see Fig. 2A View FIGURE 2 ).
Other male characters. Body size 2.3 mm. Head. Eye-bridge 5 ommatidia long at vertex. A single postocular bristle. Flagellomeral nodes fully covered with microtrichia (not drawn in Fig. 4B View FIGURE 4 , which depicts the fifth flagellomere). Neck of fourth flagellomere 1.3 times longer than node. Wing. Membrane fully setose. Point of furcation of M1+2 situated clearly proximal to apex of M4. Terminalia ( Fig. 4A View FIGURE 4 ). Ninth tergite trapezoid. Gonocoxites wider than long; ventral emargination broadly V-shaped, membranous and faintly contoured on inferior half; membranous window large and subtriangular in holotype, much smaller and slit-shaped in paratype. Gonostylus 1.9 times longer than wide; apical tooth adpressed basally to gonostylar body. Tegmen clearly wider than long, subtriangular, narrowly rounded apically. Aedeagal teeth about 15–20.
Etymology. The species epithet, moraviensis , is an adjective derived from Moravia, the region of provenance of the type-specimens.
Types. Holotype. Male (no. CEC401), Czech Republic, Moravia, Havraníky, Podyjí National Park , 27 Sep.– 14 Nov. 2001, Malaise trap, M. Barták & Š. Kubík (in NMPC). Paratype . Male (no. CEC402), same data as the holotype (in SDEI).
Distribution and phenology. Czech Republic (Moravia). The two specimens known of this species were collected in late autumn in a habitat not specified on the specimen labels.
